The A-Main for Night 2 of the 2018 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic (GASC) has finally been run and won.
After a weather-induced postponement, the event was run on Night 3 of the GASC by way of an earlier 4pm start.
Peter Doukas and John Vogles were off the front row, followed by Jason Johnson, Luke Oldfield, Grant Anderson and Steven Lines rounding out the first three rows.
At the get go Doukas jumped to the lead.
Only one lap down Danny Reidy tagged the fence and Matt Dumesny (N57) rolled trying to avoid the out of control #5.
A further stoppage occurred just two laps later when Jack Lee got squeezed hard down low as a three wide sandwich into turn 3 prevailed.
Doukas continued to show the rest of the field his tail tank until rubber went down on the low line.
Grant Anderson in the V37 was first to find magical drive down low on the pole line and catapulted to lead on lap 20.
He sped away from Jason Johnson and was nearly half a lap ahead when he crossed the line.
Following Johnson home was fellow American Carson Macedo and Peter Doukas.
