STOP PRESS ————————————–
News just to hand from our photographer in Western Australia Peter Roebuck, is that James McFadden driving the Monte Motorsport/Milwaukee Tools WA 17 has just taken out the 2017 WSS (World Series Sprintcars) Championship at Perth Motorplex in Western Australia.
Although racing is still very much underway and the A-Main is yet to run, McFadden has accumulated enough points in qualifying and heat racing to create a mathematical gap between himself and second placed Jamie Veal to guarantee the Series Victory.
The A-Main winner tonight may be another story———-who will it be?
The popular word around the traps is that Monte Motorsport Team Owner Luch Monte has told his driver James McFadden to go all out in the A-Main and create a spectacle for the fans —- basically “Win it or Bin It”
A huge crowd is attendance and they are rocking the world in that Perth Summer Heat that many of us know and love so well.
