The Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic is Australia’s most prestigious Sprintcar event. It attracts well over a 100 Sprintcar Entries from around the country and overseas.
Run over three nights of steroidal competition, the first and second night are punctuated by a support event that enjoys a cult following just like the racing itself at Sungold Stadium , Warrnambool, Victoria.
This support event is the Fan Appreciation day where fans flock to the car park of the Flying Horse Bar and Brewery in Warrnambool and hook up with a plethora of Team displays that not only showcase the brilliance of their racing machines, but also the Driver himself and the Team’s Merchandise.
The simple chance to meet and chat with their racing idols and marvel their prowess and bravery is a drawcard for all that attend.
Local Sungold stadium commentator Gavin “Silver Tongue” White was (and always is) the MC for the gathering and he arranges the “BIG SCREEN” from the Premier Speedway racing venue to relocate and provide a spectacular backdrop to the witty interviews and commentary that he conjures up.
Top drivers are interviewed, provide insight into what lays ahead in the quest for victory and join in with the giveaways of tee shirts, stubby holders, posters and the like.
