Victorian Sprintcar legend Johnny Vogels driving the V70 Mainline Dyn0log Dynamometers entry has won the first round of the 2012/13 Eureka Garages & Sheds Super Sprint Series in spectacular fashion at Moama’s Heartland Raceway.
Torque tube Media was there to cover the event in detail and a full race report will be available on Torque Tube Wednesday 7th November —- (We have a bootfull of great photos !)
Simpson-based Vogels won from the ever-improving Domain Ramsey (V20) and the fast finishing Matthew Reed (V92).
Also Liam Williams in his first drive with BSR (Bruce Stephens Racing) demonstrated what a fantastic career he has ahead of him driving the BSR House car fitted with a JSR 360 – Liam rocketed through the B-Main from P12 to finish in 4th and ultimately crossed the line in 11th position in the A-Main – All this from a man that has stepped out of F500 and driving a 360 CI engined car in the company of open 410 CI entries. ” Not Bad” we say !
Many new Rookies walked on stage for the first time and aspiring ladies Kristy Ellis and Rhiannon Burleigh showed the boys who was who as well !
