SPRINTCARS : PERTH MOTORPLEX WA TITLE, SYDNEY SPEEDWAY & WARRNAMBOOL EUREKA RESULTS – SATURDAY MARCH 24TH – FAST FACTS

Torque Tube Media reported in the last post that this weekend (March 24th) was a pretty busy affair on the Australian Sprintcar Racing Scene. As the season draws to a close in many states we were treated with major races in four separate states and quite honestly some of the best Sprintcar Racing you will ever see. The events spanned each side of the Nation and included:
  • WA – Perth Motorplex – 5oth West Australian Sprintcar Title
  • NSW – Sydney Speedway – Round 17 of the Tyrepower Track Championship
  • VIC – Premier Speedway – Grand Final of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Series
  • QLD – Brisbane International Speedway – KRE Race Engines Sprintcar Series
Certainly looks “Cool” on paper !! …….. but it was Red Hot at the race venues. Here are the “Fast Facts” :

Stephen Lines moved into the Brian Hall owned Halls Haulage/Bridgestone Tyres Albany Team recently and wasted no time in taking an A-Main for the Team. This A-Main was the Grand Final of the Victorian Eureka Series

Victoria's Darren Mollenoyux driving the Parr Motorsport House car ended up taking out the Eureka Series ahead of Warrnambool's Jamie Veal and Simpson's Johnny Vogels

So Stephen Lines won the night, but the overall Eureka Garages & Sheds Series winner was Darren Mollenoyux (4425 points) driving the V77 Parr Motorsports GF1.
A close second in the championship was Jamie Veal just 91 points behind (4334) and thrird was Johnny Vogels (4006).
And so ends another Eureka series – the 10th time Eureka have proudly sponsored the event.

BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY – KRE RACE ENGINES SERIES – ROUND 12

Race Results not available at time of posting

We were always planning to focus on The WA Sprintcar Title and the Warrnambool Grand Final of the Eureka Series for detailed reports, and as it turned out, all four events were “crackers” – but these two races were the pick of the bunch.
The Race report for the WA Sprintcar Title will be posted in the Traditional Tuesday Torque Tube update  (AFTERNOON) and we will follow up later in the week with the Eureka report.
It will be something to really look forward to ! That we can promise.
