Industry Focus – Parr Motosports

Recently Torque Tube Media visited Parr Motorsports in Thomastown Victoria. We had a bit of a look around and also had a chat to Owner/Proprietor Adrian Parr.

Parr Motorsports has been operating out of the current venue for over 5 years now. Adrian Parr owns the business with his wife Kim who assists in the shop. In past seasons Adrian has been a Sprintcar Driver himself, but now reverts to the occasional cameo appearance simply because of the success and associated demands of his business.

Adrian Parr and wife Kim have built Parr Motorsports up to a very successful and respected business.

Dave Murcott is also a key member of the Parr Motorsports Team. Dave is currently racing on the National Sprintcar scene and he undertakes specialised mechanical tasks involving diffs, shocks and other key items.

Parr motorsports supplies both new and used spares Australia Wide.  Predominantly this supply is to the Sprintcar ranks (Winged and Wingless), but has also expanded over the years to also support Formula 500’s and basic parts with regard to Sedans and Junior Sedans.

Rear ends are in abundance - brand new Winters or if you prefer, pre-loved units like these

Parts are easy to identify, bagged and are clearly displayed. Consumables are a big mover as well.

These days Parr Motorsports runs not only a tight ship, but also a house car (Sprintcar V77). This year Victorian Driver Darren Mollenoyux is lucky enough to be the Driver of the new V77 –  GF1 Chassis. Last year it was Matthew Reed. Parr’s also have a variety of sponsorship deals with local Victorian Sprintcars as well as a number of high profile Interstaters.

Adrian Parr is very exited to be a Distributor for GF1 Sprintcar Chassis’s. These are a new  concept in frame design that is particularly different forward of the engine plate. (Read the earlier feature on the GF1 chassis –

The aim is to create a more forgiving and flexible front end via some different bar angles and “spreader” hoops.

Adrian Parr is very upbeat about the coming season and is keen to build the business up even further. He is the first to admit that he’s looking at the proposition of more staff and a major push on the internet/parts ordering front, plus of course major sales of the incredibly unique GF1 Sprintcar Chassis.

Parr Motorsports has a fabulous array of both new and second hand parts, consumables and so on. Everything is laid out and organised making selection that much easier. Customer service is second to none.
